Grants Programs

Freshwater Future's grants programs provide financial support to activities that actively promote aquatic habitat protection through community advocacy efforts working locally to protect drinking water, shorelines, inland lakes, rivers, and wetlands in the Great Lakes Basin.

Announcing 2023 Spring Project Grant Opportunity!

Freshwater Future Spring Project Grants provide grants ranging from $500 to $5,000 (USD) for grassroots projects that promote water protection. Join us for a Q&A Webinar on Freshwater Future’s grant programs on February 8th at Noon, ET to learn more about how to apply to support your water work. (A recording of the webinar will be provided if you're unable to attend.)

Project Grants

Provides financial support for activities led by community groups working through grassroots advocacy efforts. Awards range from $500 to $5,000 for grassroots project expenses and activities that promote water protection.

Special Opportunity Grants

“Emergency grants” for projects that may not coincide with the application timeline or funding period of the Project Grant Program. Maximum award amount is $750.

Grant-subsidized Coaching and consulting

We offer customized consulting tailored exclusively to your needs.
