Climate grants provide funding for projects that encourage local communities to actively engage in activities that take climate change related impacts into account.
NEW! Healing Our Waters Grants
Although Healing Our Waters (HOW) grants are not new to Freshwater Future, their rolling deadline is. HOW grants financially support projects that will aid in the development and implementation of the Great Lakes Restoration Imitative and other Federal projects. Priority is given to HOW’s 8 target areas.
Special Opportunity Grants
We still have funds available for Special Opportunity Grants! These grants provide funds that support river, lake, wetland, and groundwater protection efforts that are not are not on our spring and fall cycles. We recognize not all grassroots organizations work on our schedule, and still want to provide opportunities for those organizations.
