Training Webinars: Your Voice Needed on Drinking Water Fund
Michiganders – Prepare for a rare advocacy opportunity! Every three years, the Michigan Dept. of the Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) updates its criteria that decide which communities qualify for grants and loan forgiveness toward drinking water projects. This means safer and more affordable drinking water for the communities that need it most. Join Freshwater Future at one of two upcoming training webinars. We will review what’s happening and what’s at stake, then spend time preparing your own comments to give at one of two upcoming EGLE listening sessions.
- Prep Session One: Tuesday May 13 5:30-6:00 pm (Eastern)
- Prep Session Two: Monday May 19 12:00-12:30 pm (Eastern)

New Date Announced: Last Chance to Speak Up and Defend Wetlands
The U.S. EPA is considering weakening wetland protections in the Clean Water Act and there is one final chance to tell them how damaging this would be for safe drinking water, flood protection, agriculture, the economy, and more. Anyone can register for a 3-minute speaking segment – make sure you check the box indicating you would like to speak! Be sure to sign up early – spots are limited and fill up quickly. Session One is Wednesday May 14, 2:30-6:00 pm (Eastern) and a second session will soon be announced (check here for updates). Once you participate, please share your thoughts with us at: kristen@freshwaterfuture.org.
