The Canadian Government announces $420 million in funding for the Great Lakes.
Freshwater Future is excited to share that today, Prime Minister Trudeau announced a funding commitment of $420 million for the Great Lakes. Freshwater Future and our partners have been working toward such a federal commitment for years and are so pleased to see the Canadian government making a strong statement about the importance of the Great Lakes to both countries. Healthy, clean and affordable water is a human right, and restoring our waters in the Great Lakes region is critical to that right.
