Spring Project Grants – Two Weeks Until Proposals are Due!
The Project Grants Program is currently open to proposals for financial support of grassroots advocacy activities that promote river, lake, shoreline, wetland, groundwater, and drinking water protection in the Great Lakes Basin. Grant awards range from $500 to $5,000 for grassroots project expenses and activities. We recommend that you call us to discuss your project ideas before applying. Michigan Advocates Push for Solutions to Ensure Affordable Water
This week, members of the Water Equals Life Coalition gathered in Lansing to talk with legislators about the Affordable Water Now legislative package. Conversations raised awareness about the struggles Michiganders across the state are facing in accessing affordable water and the need for a statewide water affordability program. If you live in Michigan, send a message to your state representative and senator and ask them to co-sponsor and support this critical bill package.

Resource – Understanding the Offsite Water Use of Data Centers
Proposals for data centers with plans to use large volumes of water are popping up all around the Great Lakes region. This helpful resource from the non-profit organization, Clean Wisconsin is useful for understanding the indirect water use of these large warehouses based on the type of cooling system and the energy source used.
