Keeping up with technology can be a challenge for environmental organizations, and expensive too. TechSoup.org is a trusted nonprofit technology resource that offers a variety of information and services for the benefit of the nonprofit sector. We are ourselves a nonprofit organization working towards the day when every nonprofit, library, and social benefit organization on the planet has the technology, knowledge and resources they need to operate at their full potential.
As of September 2009, TechSoup.org has served almost 107,000 organizations, distributed over 5.1 million software and hardware product donations, and enabled recipients to save more than $1.5 billion in information and technology expenses in 31 countries around the world. TechSoup. org offers nonprofits a one-stop resource for technology needs by providing free information, resources, and support. Below are a few ways that TechSoup can help you.

Here, nonprofits can access donated and discounted technology products, provided by corporate and nonprofit technology partners, from antivirus software to refurbished hardware by Microsoft, Adobe, Symantec, etc., for Macs as well as PCs.
Find low-cost Green computer systems TechSoup.org’s Refurbished Computer Initiative (www.techsoup.org/stock/rci) provides nonprofits and libraries with guaranteed, Green, refurbished laptops for as little as 25% of retail cost (@ $200).
Each Refurbished Computer Initiative Green refurbished computer is a high-quality machine formerly used by a large corporation that has phased it out after two to three years.
