Great Lakes Research Consortium
The Great Lakes Research Consortium is a collaboration of colleges and universities in New York with a mission to improve the understanding of the Great Lakes ecosystem, including the physical, biological, and chemical processes that shape it – as well as the social and political forces that affect human impact on the lakes and their economic resources.
Publications on Great Lakes
The Michigan Sea Grant has many publications on issues concerning the Great Lakes available. Exotics ID Cards are free, as is the “Field Guide to Aquatic Exotic Plants and Animals”. A new set of five two-color brochures entitled Great Lakes Facts is available for $3.00 with a comprehensive fact sheet for each Great Lake. To order, visit their website.
