Working Together to Protect the Great Lakes

The Great Lakes Research Consortium is an organization of sixteen colleges and universities in New York, with nine affiliate campuses in Ontario. The Consortium is dedicated to collaborative research and education on the Great Lakes – with nearly 400 faculty members conducting research in every facet of science affecting the Great Lakes.

The mission of the Consortium is to improve the understanding of the Great Lakes ecosystem, including the physical, biological, and chemical processes that shape it, as well as the social and political forces that affect human impacts on the lakes and their associated economic resources. The Consortium has publications, seminars, a small grants program, and other materials of interest to people working on Great Lakes issues.
