The Great Lakes Aquatic Habitat Network and Fund (GLAHNF) Advisory Panel held its annual meeting at the Birchwood Inn January 17-20, 2002. The Advisory Panel is composed of environmental professional and citizen activist volunteers from across the Great Lakes Basin, and helps to set strategic priorities and maintain a contemporary vision for GLAHNF. Through the annual Advisory Panel meeting and communications throughout the year, the Advisory Panel provides a Basin-wide perspective to the project and contributes to the extensive knowledge base of the program.
Twenty-six people attended the meeting, lending their talents and expertise to the evaluation and brainstorming activities. The results of the meeting helped us evaluate the status of our current programs and strategize about new possibilities. We thank all those attending, especially the facilitators from the Institute for Conservation Leadership and River Network, and our special guests, Lois DeBacker and Sam Passmore from the C.S. Mott Foundation.
