Successful Wetlands Workshop

Successful Wetlands Workshop

“Working for Wetlands: A Workshop for Grassroots Wetland Activism” was a success on Saturday, June 30, 2001 in Huron, Ohio. Thirty wetland activists benefited from the powerful agenda dealing with policy, regulations, fundraising, and grassroots action.

The workshop left the participants requesting similar sessions that might target additional subjects and allow more in-depth training on those topics presented on June 30th. Also, there was discussion about neighboring states cooperating to put together and conduct a workshop series. Again, it is obvious that networking at such gatherings is very valuable to both established activists and those new to the game. Everyone benefits. Thanks again to all who participated.
